The district recently received notice that our request for a missed school day waiver was denied. When we submitted the waiver, we included the two weather days in January along with the closure that occurred at the beginning of the school year due to the catastrophic HVAC failure at the elementary campus.
However, the state did not recognize the early closure as a missed instructional day because school had not officially started. Since that day could not be counted, the district does not meet the waiver criteria based on minutes lost.
Because of this, Blooming Grove ISD will need to adjust the schedule in May to ensure we meet the state-required instructional minute requirements. The board approved moving May 4th and May 11th to instructional days.
The high school National Honor Society students will be hosting their annual Vietnam Veterans Breakfast tomorrow, Friday, March 27th at 9:30 a.m. in the high school library.
Federal Report Cards are now available for the 2024-2025 school year. Each LEA that receives Title I, Part A funding is responsible for disseminating the state, LEA and campus-level report cards to 1) all LEA campuses, 2) parents of all enrolled students, and 3) the general public. Report cards for Blooming Grove ISD and each campus can be found on the district website.
