Today Blooming Grove ISD Celebrated their 2nd Annual Observance of Day of the Child with the families of our Emergent Bilingual (EB) students. Academic programs & resources were discussed and accomplishments were mentioned. Time was spent eating delicious authentic food, jumping in a bounce house, passing out of treat bags, salsa contest & FUN GAMES of Loteria! It’s a great day to be a Lion & setting the standard for all of our students!



Hoy, el Distrito Escolar Independiente de Blooming Grove (Blooming Grove ISD) celebró su 2.ª conmemoración anual del Día del Niño junto a las familias de nuestros estudiantes bilingües emergentes (EB). Se abordaron los programas y recursos académicos, y se destacaron los logros alcanzados. La jornada transcurrió disfrutando de deliciosa comida auténtica, saltando en un castillo inflable, repartiendo bolsas de dulces, participando en un concurso de salsa y jugando a divertidos juegos de Lotería. Es un gran día para ser un León y establecer el estándar para todos nuestros estudiantes!

Welcome Meredith Armstrong to the BGISD School Board! Meredith was sworn in at last night's board meeting to begin her three year term. Congratulations, Meredith and welcome "back" to the Lion family!

As Jordan Golden finishes out his term of service to the board and to BGISD, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to him. Jordan has been a valued member of the board since 2023. During his time of service, we have seen remarkable growth and much needed change in the district. Jordan’s positive outlook and commitment to excellence in education has been an asset to the board. Jordan, thank you for being a part of the team and working to make the district better…..because kids!

The Blooming Grove HS Athletic Department will be hosting a general parent meeting on Tuesday, May 26, at 5:30 in the Blooming Grove HS Gym. If you have a boy or girl in HS athletics or a junior high athlete, you are encouraged to attend. This meeting will be an opportunity for parents to meet new members of the BG Coaching Staff, get signed up for Sportsyou if you have not already, and gain a general knowledge of what our summer is going to look like. Points of emphasis will be summer strength and conditioning, camps and leagues athletes can participate in this summer, and any summer protocol pertaining to BG athletics. It will also be an opportunity to visit with coaches. Hope to see you there!
